1984 showing at Keble O’Reilly – 08-11 May 2013
In honour of the 110th anniversary of Orwell’s birth, Rough-Hewn & Screw the Looking Glass bring George Orwell’s classic dystopian nightmare to the stage at Keble College, Oxford. The play has been adapted by Matthew Dunster. It will be showing from 08-11 May 2013 at 7:30pm. I wanted to mention the very sharp novel The Office of Mercy by Ariel Djanikian. The Office of the title murders by drone the less civilized and at times uses a weapon, the LUV 3, instead of a drone. Ms. Djanikian clearly had fun with her Newspeak.
