Meccano – a little late
But welcome!
Tony Cox’s script for ‘Mrs Orwell’ has George Orwell sending his fiancee, Sonia Brownell, out to buy a Meccano (Erector, for Americans) set for his son Richard’s Christmas present. The present cast were worried that it never arrived at the time, and thought that ‘better late than never’ was a sound principle.

Hence this presentation.
