Orwell Society Visit Barnhill on Jura – now full.

The Orwell Society invitation to Barnhill on Jura 6th – 9th June 2014.

The Orwell Society is holding a very special visit to, as George Orwell said in a letter, a place that was “extremely un-get-atable”. We are conscious that this is not a low cost venture, because unlike Spain, we have no choice of Hotel, or Boats etc.

Richard Blair and his wife Eleanor is attending the visit to his childhood home, where  where 1984 was written, thanks to the owners of Barnhill, the Fletcher family.

Quentin Kopp our events manager reported: I am delighted to say that we already have had an excellent response and we have 24 bookings in much less than 24 hours. If anybody would like to be put on the ‘stand by’ list against people’s circumstances changing, please email me at quentin@aqkchangemanagement.com  For those who are disappointed for 2014, we will be running other events, which you will see in the Journal which will be with you soon. Also we plan to run a visit to Jura in 2016 and a visit to Spain again in 2015.
