Using Orwell in New Media

I recently created a comic called ‘Degrees of Isolation’ in collaboration with students from NTU and beyond. It forms part of a series of comics challenging stereotypes, called Whatever People Say I Am. In ‘Degrees of Isolation’, a student stuck in her dorms has imaginary conversations with George Orwell who guides her through this difficult period of her life. Through his she discovers the power of literature and nature and what it means to fight.
